YETIBAE WINS BEST ACTRESS IN DIASPORA, GEARS UP FOR NEW FILM PREMIERE

Yetunde Adeyemi, widely known as Yetibae, was recently honored with the Best Nollywood Actress in the Diaspora award at the Golden Stars Award ceremony held in Lekki, Lagos. The prestigious recognition celebrates her impactful contributions to the Nigerian film industry as a Canada-based creative.
Yetibae has announced the upcoming premiere of her new Yoruba film, Dark Path, scheduled for July 25th in Toronto, Canada. Directed by renowned filmmakers Femi Adebayo and Adebayo Tijani, the movie explores the emotional journey of a woman navigating grief after her brother’s death while also caring for her aging parents.
The film features a star-studded Nollywood cast, including Aisha Lawal, Bimbo Oshin, Ojopagogo, Jigan Babaoja, Sola Sobowale, Broda Shaggi, and Muyiwa Ademola.
Known for her commitment to quality storytelling, Yetibae has both produced and starred in several acclaimed films such as Ipanilaya, Idaji Ona, 60/40, Ofege, and Ashiri Gomina. She expressed her deep passion for telling meaningful stories and her dedication to making a positive impact through her work in the Nigerian film industry.
