The Kwara State Government has scheduled Saturday, July 26, 2025, for the conduct of the Common Entrance (Placement) Examination into Junior Secondary Schools across the 16 local government areas of the state.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, during a press briefing held Wednesday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Ilorin.
In a statement released Thursday by the Ministry’s Press Secretary, Peter Amogbonjaye, the commissioner confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure a smooth and credible exercise.
Dr. Olohungbebe stated that the examination will commence promptly at 8:00 a.m. across designated centres in the state, and he called on pupils, parents, and school administrators to strictly follow the examination guidelines.
He expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the full sponsorship of the exercise, reiterating that the examination is free for all candidates. He also warned that any principal or headteacher caught collecting illegal fees from pupils would face stiff sanctions in accordance with the law.
