A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has distanced himself from the report claiming that he has abandoned the ruling All Progressives Congress in favor of the opposition coalition, African Democratic Congress.

Mustapha, in a statement released on Sunday, characterized the reports as misinformation, emphasizing that he has not participated in any discussions with members of the opposition or their coalition affiliates.

“My attention has been drawn to a news article circulating that links me to the opposition alliance and their selection of the ADC as their political party.

“I want the public to understand that this is misinformation. I am not part of any opposition alliance, nor am I engaged in discussions with those involved,” the statement partially read.

Mustapha stated that he is a founding member of the APC, emphasizing that he cannot distance himself from the party he assisted in establishing.

The former SGF mentioned that although the APC, like any political entity, faces its difficulties, the remedy lies in addressing issues internally rather than defecting to a different platform.

He consequently urged the public to dismiss any conjecture indicating otherwise.
