Romulo, 23, has committed to a contract extending until 2030 for an estimated fee of 25 million euros ($29.2 million), including bonuses.

Leipzig badly needed a forward after Sesko’s big-money move to United.

The Slovenian, 22, allegedly incurred an expenditure of 85 million euros for United.

Romulo netted 13 goals and provided nine assists in 29 league appearances during the previous season.

Leipzig concluded the last campaign in seventh place, missing the opportunity for European competition for the first time in the Bundesliga’s top tier, and have embarked on a reconstruction during Jurgen Klopp’s inaugural off-season as Red Bull’s global head of football.

The club has acquired several promising young talents in anticipation of next weekend’s Bundesliga commencement, including winger Johan Bakayoko and midfielder Arthur Vermeeren.

Additionally, they have appointed a new manager, Ole Werner.
