DANGOTE GROUP PLEDGES FULL SUPPORT AND COMPENSATION FOR PHYNA’S SISTER INJURED IN AUCHI TRUCK ACCIDENT

Dangote Group Plc has pledged comprehensive support and compensation for Mrs. Ruth Otabor, sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma “Phyna” Otabor, who was injured in a recent accident involving one of the company’s trucks in Auchi, Edo State.
The incident, which occurred last week along the Auchi axis, left Mrs. Otabor hospitalised at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital. Eyewitnesses reported that the crash caused heavy traffic in the area before emergency responders and security operatives arrived at the scene.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Dangote Cement Plc said it had taken full responsibility for the incident, with senior officials and its insurance team promptly visiting the scene, engaging law enforcement authorities, and meeting the victim and her family at the hospital.
“Following the recent road accident in Auchi, Edo State, involving one of our trucks, which sadly resulted in injury to Mrs. Ruth Otabor, we sare ensuring full support for her, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation, in line with Dangote Group’s welfare policy,” the company said.
It added that it was working closely with relevant authorities to ensure a thorough investigation into the accident, while reiterating its commitment to road safety and the well-being of those affected.
The company expressed its best wishes for Mrs. Otabor’s full and speedy recovery.
