LAGOS POLICE TRACE, RESCUE MISSING MAN ODERA GREGORY MBADIWE

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that it has located 32-year-old Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, who was earlier declared missing in a case that went viral on social media.
Police spokesperson DSP Babasayi B. Oluseyi disclosed in a statement on Thursday, September 4, 2025, that Mbadiwe was found on Monday, September 1, at about 8:30 a.m. in the Mile 2 area of Lagos State. He was discovered in a distressed state but alive and has since been reunited with his family, where he is receiving medical care.
Reports indicated that Mbadiwe left his Victoria Island residence on September 1 with his father’s Nissan 350Z Convertible but failed to return home. His family subsequently reported him missing at the Victoria Island Police Division on September 3.
Following the report, Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, ordered a discreet investigation. Acting on intelligence and tips from members of the public, detectives successfully traced the missing man and also recovered the vehicle.
Commending the swift work of the operatives, CP Jimoh lauded the cooperation of Lagos residents, whose information was instrumental to the rescue. He urged members of the public to continue providing timely reports of similar cases for quick police intervention.
