TIGHT SECURITY AS INEC BEGINS COLLATION OF ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION RESULTS

There is a heavy security presence at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Awka as the collation of results for the Anambra State governorship election is set to commence.
Armed security personnel have been stationed within and around the INEC office to ensure order and safety during the exercise.
This follows the conclusion of sorting and counting across the 21 local government areas of the state after a largely peaceful election on Saturday.
The collation marks the next crucial phase in determining the outcome of the keenly contested governorship poll.
