The Dames Hub Wellness Initiative has provided free medical care and menopause sensitization for women in Abeokuta during a special outreach held on Monday, November 17, 2025, in honour of the 20th Coronation Anniversary of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, CFR — the Alake of Egbaland.

The programme took place at Adire Hall, Ake Palace, where women from across Egbaland gathered for a day of health checks, education and wellness support.

The outreach, themed “Alake’s Daughters: A Midlife Wellness & Empowerment Initiative in Egbaland,” focused on addressing the physical, hormonal and emotional challenges associated with midlife and menopause.

Participants received free medical examinations, counselling on menopause and hormonal health, and additional support on nutrition, massage therapy and mental well-being.

Health experts in attendance guided women through practical steps for managing menopausal symptoms, while encouraging open conversations around issues often left unspoken in many communities.

Organisers said the initiative was designed to empower women with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate midlife with confidence and better understanding.

Many beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the opportunity to access specialized care and information at no cost.

The outreach was organised by the Dames Hub Wellness Initiative in collaboration with Chances and Opportunities Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, and received support from the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs.

The outreach was widely praised as a meaningful addition to the Alake’s anniversary celebrations and a demonstration of ongoing commitment to women’s health and community well-being in Egbaland.
