No Team In World Cup Group D Will Win Their 3 Games – Iceland Coach
Iceland head coach Heimir Hallgrímsson believes that no team in their
2018 FIFA World Cup Group D will win all their three group matches.
Nicknamed Our Boys, Iceland are in the same group as African giants
Nigeria, former World Cup winners Argentina and Europe’s Croatia at a
tournament which will be hosted by Russia.
“These are strong opponents, everyone knows,” said Heimir on All Nigeria Soccer.
“We are convinced that there will be no team in this group that wins
all the games and there will be no team in this group losing all the
games.
“We think our potential is fine. If we have a good performance in
Russia, we have a good chance of getting out of the group,” he added.
“Another advantage of a strong group is that if we get out of it, the
next opponents who are waiting for us are no stronger than our team.
“The biggest challenge is to get out of the group, there’s no point to stop us.”
Nigeria will take on Iceland in their first group match which will be
played at the Otkritie Arena on the 16th of June 2018.
