POLITICS IS NOT ABOUT NOISE, LAGOS APC BOASTS OF SETTING DEMOCRATIC EXCELLENCE STANDARD

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its position as a leading example of party organisation and democratic discipline in Nigeria.
The party’s spokesman in the state, Seye Oladejo, said the success of the electronic membership registration exercise and the smooth conduct of its congresses demonstrate that structure, innovation and order are not just slogans but core values of the party.
In a statement he signed, Oladejo said: “While others thrive on confusion and press statements, we focus on building systems. While others are divided by factional disputes, we work to strengthen our institutions. And while others spread propaganda, we remain committed to consolidating progress.”
“Across wards and local governments in Lagos State, our congresses were conducted peacefully and transparently, in full compliance with constitutional guidelines.
“Participation was impressive and the process remained orderly. The outcome is clear — a united and forward-looking party prepared for the challenges ahead.
“Beyond the successful conduct of the congresses, the calibre of individuals elected into the party’s State Executive further reflects the strength of the process.
“The new leadership represents a strategic mix of experience and youth, continuity and renewal, alongside deliberate gender balance. It is a team built on institutional memory and fresh energy — a combination aimed not only at sustaining progress but also accelerating it.
“It is time for opposition parties to step down from their high horses and return to the basics of politics, where discipline, cohesion, organisation and unity of purpose are learned.
“Politics is not about making noise. It is not about social media agitation or constant internal crises. Politics is about structure, coordination and leadership.”
