NASS LEADERS HAIL TINUBU AT 74, PLEDGE CONTINUED SUPPORT

Principal officers of the National Assembly have extended warm felicitations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, commending his leadership and reform-driven agenda.

Leading the tributes, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, described Tinubu as an audacious and visionary leader committed to repositioning Nigeria. He noted that the President has demonstrated astute leadership through bold economic reforms and advocacy for democratic values.

Akpabio further assured the President of the Senate’s unwavering support, emphasizing that the National Assembly would continue to collaborate with the executive to deliver lasting legacies for future generations.

Similarly, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, praised Tinubu as a pro-democracy figure and seasoned administrator whose contributions to Nigeria’s democratic journey remain significant. He highlighted ongoing reforms under the administration, particularly in revenue generation, transparency, infrastructure, and security coordination.

In the same vein, the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, lauded the President’s leadership as visionary and impactful, noting that his administration has helped shape Nigeria’s development trajectory for both present and future generations.

Also paying tribute, the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, offered prayers for Tinubu’s continued health and longevity. He expressed confidence in the President’s political future, projecting a decisive victory in the 2027 general election.

Barau reaffirmed the commitment of the National Assembly to support the administration’s policies and programmes, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in backing the President’s efforts to address national challenges and drive sustainable development.
