The lawmakers made the announcement on Tuesday on the floor of the Green Chamber at the National Assembly.
Among those who defected is Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe, who represents the Dawakin Tofa/Rimin Gado/Tofa Federal Constituency.
Other lawmakers who defected include Garba Ibrahim Diso (Gwale Federal Constituency), Hassan Shehu Hussain (Nassarawa Federal Constituency), Idris Dankawu (Kumbotso Federal Constituency), Muhamamad Chiroma Nalaraba (Gezawa/Gabasawa Federal Constituency), Barrister Rabiu Yusuf (Takai/Sumaila Federal Constituency), Dr. Ghali Mustapha Tijjani (Albasu/Gaya/Ajingi Federal Constituency), and Barrister Muhammad Bello Shehu (Fagge Federal Constituency).
