The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has cautioned the public to be wary of fraudulent activities surrounding the sale of its nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party stressed that only official communication channels should be trusted, adding that any directive purportedly from the National Chairman or the National Working Committee (NWC) must be released through the National Publicity Secretary.

The party described any contrary messages circulating on social media as false, unauthorized, and deliberately misleading.

It further clarified that the sale of nomination forms for President, Governor, Senate, and House of Representatives is the responsibility of the National Organising Secretary, while forms for State House of Assembly elections are managed by state party offices.

According to the ADC, any sale or collection of forms outside these designated structures violates both the party constitution and electoral guidelines.

The party also noted that all official activities of the National Chairman and the NWC in the states are carried out strictly through recognised state party headquarters, warning that no individual or group has the authority to act outside this framework.

It urged members of the public to ignore fake directives, unauthorized agents, and misleading messages circulating online, adding that impersonators and purveyors of misinformation would face disciplinary action in line with party rules and the law.

The statement also referenced a viral video alleging that ADC National Chairman, David Mark, issued a message through an unauthorized channel approving the sale of nomination forms, describing it as fraudulent.

“We urge all genuine members to remain focused, law-abiding, and committed to building a united ADC ahead of 2027,” the party stated.
