Timini Egbuson has weighed in on the connection between money, happiness, and depression, stressing that wealth does not automatically guarantee emotional well-being.

The Nollywood star challenged the common belief that financial success can completely eliminate depression, noting that even wealthy individuals still struggle with mental health issues.

His reaction came after a viral post on X suggested that people dealing with depression simply needed money to overcome it.

“You’re not depressed, you need 20 million naira,” the post read.

Responding to the claim, Timini Egbuson wrote, “It’s not always about money sha.”

The actor’s comment sparked conversations online, with many users pointing out that depression can also stem from grief, anxiety, trauma, and other life challenges that money cannot fix.

Others, however, maintained that financial hardship remains one of the leading causes of depression, arguing that many people would experience relief if they had enough money to resolve their economic struggles.
