Roma vs Barcelona: Why Sir Alex Ferguson attended Champions League clash

Read Time:42 Second

Roma president, James Pallotta, has claimed that he invited former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, to watch the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Barcelona, so he could bring them “good luck”.
The Italian club trailed 4-1 from the first leg played at the Nou Camp last week.
However, they turned things around in a spectacular away at home, beating the LaLiga leaders 3-0.
Edin Dzeko put them in front in the opening five minutes, before Daniele De Rossi made it 2-0 from the spot, after Dzeko was fouled by Gerard Pique.
Konstantinos Manolas headed in the crucial goal, to send Barcelona out on away goals rule.
“That’s why I made Sir Alex come here, to bring good luck,” Pallotta told reporters afterwards.
