Experts have decried poor public awareness on oral hygiene, warning that oral health diseases left unchecked can lead to major negative health consequences including death.
The experts were also unanimous in calling for improved dental health care for Nigerians at a one day free oral health campaign and treatment by the Ekiti state government in collaboration with dental therapists from all southwest states to commemorate this year’s world oral health day held in IKERE EKITI.
The dentists say, with the growing rate of tooth decay, the walk and the free treatment were intended to promote awareness of the issues surrounding oral health and reiterate the importance of good oral hygiene.
