LATEST TRANSFER GIST: LIVERPOOL BATTLES MAN U FOR PORTO’S MILITIAO’S SIGNATURE

Liverpool have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Eder Militao, according to reports.
The Porto ace is available at a cut-price £42.5million due to an early get-out clause in his contract.
The Portuguese giants want the Brazilian to pen a new deal to hike his release fee up – despite only having signed a new contract until 2023 back in the summer.
The highly-rated 20-year-old has attracted a host of top suitors across Europe – including Manchester City, Barcelona, Roma and Borussia Dortmund.
Reports in Portugal on Wednesday suggested that United are in pole position to land the defender’s signature.
But the Express now claim that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has entered the chase to sign Militao as he looks to bolster his quad for their title run-in.
Klopp already has the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip on the books.
However Klopp could be tempted to make a move, say the Express , with both Gomez and Matip nursing injuries.
Militao joined Porto from Sao Paulo last summer and has one international cap to his name after making his debut for Tite’s team back in September when Brazil thrashed El Salvador 5-0.
