The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission invaded the Abuja home of Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of Imo State and a presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress.

As of the time of reporting this article, the details of their mission were still vague, but one of the former governor’s aides verified this to our correspondent.

When approached for comment, the EFCC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, pledged to find out what was going on.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) searched the residence of Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of Imo State and a presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The operatives who invaded the residence in Maitama without an arrest warrant, according to the former governor’s assistant, insisted on forcibly removing him.

The effort, according to the aide who did not want to be identified, is intended to prevent the former governor from attending the APC presidential screening.

This comes only 48 hours after Okorocha hosted other Southeast presidential candidates, when they formed an alliance ahead of the presidential primaries.
