MOHBAD STARTED VOMITING AFTER TAKING INJECTION – DJ NARRATES AT CORONER’S INQUEST

In an ongoing inquest to determine the cause of death of IleriOluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, one Ajisegiri Ayobami, a personal Disc Jockey (DJ) has said before the court that the late singer started vomiting the food he ate after an injection was administered on him.

Ajisegiri who was the second witness, explained that he had attended a show in Ikorodu with the deceased prior to the day he died.

The Coroner Magistrate, had on the previous date summoned the Marlian Music Boss, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, Samuel Eletu aka Sam Larry, and Primeboy to appear before the court on October 25. The purpose of their appearance is to shed light on the incident and identify individuals responsible for the tragic event.

Meanwhile, Mr Aloba Joseph, the first witness had earlier narrated how Mohbad and three of his workers had been allegedly assaulted by Naira Marley ‘s boys sometime in October, 2022, when he visited the deceased.

While giving evidence, Mr Aloba, who identified himself as the father of the late singer, told the court that the deceased had once told him that he was given a substance to drink and while he was in the custody of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), after which he was eventually released and since then he had not been feeling well until his untimely demise.

He added that there are several instances when the deceased and his wife had misunderstanding. He said, “More often, he was always telling me that his wife did not give him rest of mind and peace at home. I have gone there more than three times to resolve issues between them.”

Meanwhile, the deceased’s mother, Aloba Abosede, while giving her testimony in tears, told the court that she was not allowed to see her son’s remains before he was taken away.

She added in her narration that the late afrobeat singer, lived in fear till his death.

After listening to the testimonies from all three witnesses, Magistrate Sotobi adjourned till November 7 for further hearing.
