PANIC AS MOTORCYCLE RIDER ALLEGEDLY KILLS ONE IN OGBA, LAGOS
There is tension in Oluwole Ogba and Aguda axis after an unidentified Hausa bike man popularly known as Okada ride allegedly stabbed one person to death.
It is unclear what led to the incident but it was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday night.
According to eyewitnesses, the conflict escalated when some Oluwole boys stormed Oke Ira area in Ogba in search of the Okada riders, who are mostly northerners.
However, police officers from the ‘Area G’ command in conjunction Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have beefed up the areas to curb any clash between Hausa Okada riders and Yoruba residents in Ogba.
A news correspondent who visited the areas noticed how Hausa Okada riders are fleeing for their lives in and around Ogba to avoid been lynched by the mob or escape from police arrest.
Our correspondent also visited the ‘Area G’ command but was not allowed in or given any update on the situation on ground.
Roads leading to Excellence Roundabout, Ogba Market and WAEC have been blocked with vans of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) unit of the police.
