FG REVEALS PARTNERSHIP WITH CROSS RIVER STATE GOVT OVER YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Ayodele Olawande, the minister of state for youth development, has received assurances from Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu that the state’s eighteen local government areas will receive sufficient funding to nurture young talent.
Speaking at Calabar, the Governor hosted the Minister, who was visiting the state to talk with young people about how the federal government could help them on their journey to better livelihoods.
The governor stated that, as young people are the country’s future, additional investments in them were necessary.
In a previous speech, the Minister said that the administration of President Tinubu is devising a strategy to guarantee that every young person receives training in a minimum of two skills, thereby aiding in the fight against the country’s high unemployment rate.
Following the launch of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) for former agitators in the Niger Delta, this development has occurred.
Over 30,000 people have benefited from the program thus far, gaining practical skills that will benefit the country as a whole as well as individuals.
