JUST IN: HEAVY SECURITY AS APC LEADERS ARRIVE FOR NEC MEETING
The national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was bustling with activity on Wednesday morning as APC-elected governors and party leaders gathered for the highly anticipated National Executive Committee meeting.
Among the early arrivals were members of the National Working Committee, APC state chairmen, former Zamfara State Governor Sen. Abdulaziz Yari, former Kebbi State Governor and Minister of Budget and National Planning Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, and Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Goodwill Akpabio, and House of Representatives Speaker Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas were expected to attend.
By 8:30 am, heavy traffic was reported, with party supporters playing music and displaying APC banners around the party headquarters and surrounding streets.
Security was tight, with stern-looking operatives, including agents from the Department of State Security, stationed at the venue’s entry and exit points to ensure safety.
