
TINUBU APPOINTS BRIG. GEN. NAFIU OLAKUNLE AS NEW DIRECTOR GENERAL OF NYSC
Brigadier-General Nafiu Olakunle has reportedly been named the new Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by President Bola Tinubu.
Originally from Ileogbo, which is close to Iwo in Osun State, the new DG is an artillery officer.
Prior to his sickness, he had been the Chief of Staff to the late Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, who died in Lagos on November 5, 2024, at the age of 56.
In place of Brig. Gen. Yushau Dogara Ahmed, Olakunle took over.
According to reports, his appointment takes effect immediately.
