SAUDI ARABIA CONDEMNS IRAN’S ATTACK ON QATAR, VOWS FULL SUPPORT

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Iran’s recent aggression against the State of Qatar, describing it as a “flagrant violation of international law” and a betrayal of the principles of good neighborliness.
In a statement issued on Monday night by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia denounced the attack in the strongest terms, stressing that such an act is “entirely unacceptable and cannot be justified under any circumstances.”
“The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the State of Qatar,” the statement read.
“Saudi Arabia places all its capabilities at Qatar’s disposal in support of any measures it may take.”
The Kingdom’s position reflects growing regional tensions following Iran’s reported hostile action against Qatar, a fellow member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The statement underscores a united front among Gulf nations amid escalating geopolitical challenges in the region.

Tensions in the region escalated dramatically following a U.S.-led airstrike on Iran’s nuclear facilities during the weekend, which Washington said was aimed at halting Iran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program.
In retaliation, Iranian forces on Monday launched missile strikes targeting what they claimed were U.S. military assets in Qatar, a move that drew international condemnation and raised fears of a broader regional conflict.
Iran’s strike caused damage to several installations near Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar and reportedly led to casualties among both military personnel and civilians.
While Iran claimed it was targeting American interests, the attack has been widely viewed as an act of aggression against Qatari sovereignty.
Saudi Arabia’s latest statement comes amid growing calls for diplomatic de-escalation, even as regional powers reaffirm alliances in anticipation of further instability.
The Kingdom also reaffirmed its “full solidarity with and unwavering support for the State of Qatar,” pledging to place all its capabilities at Qatar’s disposal in support of any measures it may take in response.
