DANTATA TO BE BURIED ON TUESDAY

The late elder statesman and business luminary, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, is scheduled for interment on Tuesday in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
This was revealed in a communiqué released by Rabiu Ibrahim, Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on Monday.
The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, communicated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s message of sympathy to the relatives of the departed elder statesman in Madinah, prior to the interment.
The statement read in part, “The demise of Baba Aminu deeply touches President Tinubu. He prays that Allah grants him Aljannah Firdaus and gives the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

Leading a delegation of top government officials, Abubakar was joined by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; Idris and the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Ata.
The group, which departed Nigeria late Sunday and reached Madinah early Monday, was welcomed by Alhaji Mustapha Junaid and additional members of the Dantata family, including the late individual’s spouses, offspring, and grandchildren, who conveyed appreciation for the Federal Government’s condolence visit.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata passed away on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, at the age of 94.
In line with his wishes, he will be laid to rest in the holy city of Madinah on Tuesday.
Also included in the delegation were distinguished Islamic scholars—Bashir Aliyu Umar, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, and Khalifa Abdullahi Muhammad, Imam of the Dantata Mosque in Abuja—who rendered prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased patriarch.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Ibrahim Moddibbo; Consul General, Ambassador Muazam Ibrahim Nayaya; and the Defence Attaché, Major General Adamu Hassan, were also in attendance.
