In the tranquil agricultural community of Alápa in Kwara State, where youngsters are more inclined to handle hoes than pursue footballs, 14-year-old Tobiloba Adeoye is steering an alternate path.
Renowned for its agricultural heritage and vibrant marketplace, the town infrequently cultivates football players However, Adeoye is challenging that story, one goal at a time.

Adeoye scored 14 goals in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons, winning the league’s top scorer award two years in a row. His standout performances also earned him the Most Valuable Player title.
“I started my football career in 2022, when I was just 10,” according to Adeoye.
“At the time, I was only playing for fun until a coach came to our village and picked me.”
“I see myself playing for the national teams, U-15, U-17, U-20, and the Super Eagles one day,” he said confidently.
“And my dream club is Real Madrid.”
