Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim stated on Friday that a group of marginalized players from his roster could be granted a “fresh start” at Old Trafford if they fail to secure a transfer before the closure of the transfer window.

Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia have been instructed to train separately from the United first-team squad.

Interest in this quartet has stalled due to United’s assessment of their market value, and Amorim suggested they could be included in his future strategy if they remain with the club after the September 1 transfer deadline.

Garnacho has been strongly associated with a potential transfer to Chelsea, while Real Betis is eager to re-sign Antony following his successful loan period last season.

Sancho’s situation is complicated by the winger’s reportedly substantial wages of £350,000 per week ($470,000).

“I understand that having players in this circumstance is not ideal, but it is evident they wish to compete at a different club,” Amorim commented on Friday.

“Thus, we endeavor to coordinate everything so both parties are satisfied, and I must focus my training on those I believe will shape the future.

“Meanwhile, the others are preparing for the next chapter.

“Once the window is closed, it becomes a different narrative. When the window is shut, we must integrate the players, offering them a new opportunity. Anything can occur. ”

Despite a commendable performance, United’s Premier League campaign commenced with a 1-0 loss against Arsenal last weekend.

Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir was responsible for the solitary goal, scored by Riccardo Calafiori.

Amorim excluded Andre Onana from the lineup following a hamstring injury that sidelined the Cameroonian for most of pre-season.

Onana is anticipated to return to the squad for Sunday’s match against Fulham, though Amorim refrained from confirming any changes.

“Onana is prepared to play just like last week, so we will see in the match who will be the goalkeeper,” the Portuguese coach added.
