CVR: INEC RECORDS 6.2M ONLINE, 1M PHYSICAL REGISTRATIONS

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announces that it has documented 6.2 million online pre-registrations in its ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), with physical registration surpassing one million as of September 28.

The commission made this revelation in its routine update on the initiative released on Monday.

As per the week six update concerning online pre-registration, a cumulative total of 6,232,673 individuals, constituting 52.15 percent of the aggregate, were female, whereas 2,982,335, or 47.85 percent, were male.

The data also indicated that 4,230,715 individuals within this total were youths aged 18 to 34, 1,565,824 were students, and 137,865 were Persons Living with Disabilities (PWD).

Upon the conclusion of both online and in-person registration, the update revealed that by the end of week five, 537,743 online registrants and 466,389 in-person registrants had finalized their physical registration.

Furthermore, it showed that among this group, 555,077, representing 55.28 percent, were female, 449,055, or 44.72 percent, were male, while 742,379 were youths aged 18 to 34.

Additionally, it disclosed that 354,406 of the total were students, while 13,987 were PWDs.
