Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has pledged to initiate new legal proceedings against her peer, Lizzy Anjorin, concerning purported defamatory statements and threats directed at her family.
This renewed allegation occurs months after the Lagos State High Court, Osborne Division, dismissed Ojo’s ₦1 billion defamation claim against Anjorin, citing procedural discrepancies, and mandated her attorney, Olabimpe Ajegbomogun, to remit ₦500,000 in costs to Anjorin’s lawyer, Ademola Olabiyi.
The two actresses have been embroiled in a prolonged dispute, which has unfolded across social media platforms and within the judicial system.
Anjorin has consistently derided Ojo in multiple Facebook live broadcasts, provoking a surge of parody videos on TikTok and Facebook.

In an extensive Instagram update on Monday, Ojo indicated that she had remained silent based on legal counsel but confirmed that her legal team is cataloging all statements.
“My legal team isn’t sleeping. They are taking note of everything. A wise person listens to learned counsel. Everything has its timing,” she stated.
While acknowledging that some of the parody videos amused her, Ojo voiced apprehension regarding the repercussions of Anjorin’s curses and purported threats on her family.
“The insults, curses, even death wishes Liz has directed at my family, especially my grandson, are heartbreaking.
“Most times, I struggle to hold my peace, but I choose to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse,” the actress commented.
She emphasized that her recent focus has been on welcoming her first grandchild and supporting her daughter, but hinted at taking more decisive action once she returns to Lagos.
The conflict between the two actresses intensified after Ojo accused Anjorin of being accountable if any harm were to befall her or her family.
This assertion followed a fire incident at Ojo’s Lagos office, which her daughter, Priscilla, associated with ongoing threats, including a letter received in May claiming their movements were under surveillance.
Ojo has previously detailed that her discord with Anjorin began after she publicly expressed her support for Folashade Tinubu, the spouse of Anjorin’s husband, which she claims incited a series of attacks and accusations.
This bitter rivalry, characterized by police complaints, lawsuits, and online hostilities, remains one of Nollywood’s most controversial public disputes.
