NSCDC ARRESTS FIVE FAKE SECURITY OPERATIVES IN ANAMBRA
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Anambra State has arrested five suspected impostors posing as security operatives in different parts of the state.
According to the spokesperson of the Command, the suspects were apprehended during a coordinated operation following credible intelligence on the activities of unauthorised security groups operating illegally in the area.
The NSCDC said the arrests were part of ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements disguising as law enforcement officers to defraud or intimidate residents. Items recovered from the suspects included fake uniforms, security badges, and other paraphernalia associated with recognised security agencies.
“The activities of these impostors threaten public safety and erode trust in genuine security organisations,” the Command stated, warning that those caught engaging in such acts would face the full weight of the law.

It further advised members of the public to report suspicious activities to the nearest NSCDC office or other relevant security agencies to support efforts in maintaining peace and order across the state.
