TGPS SANNI SEEKS STRONGER LGA PARTNERSHIP TO BOOST TEACHING AND LEARNING.

The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS), Education District II, Mr. Omotayo Layemo Sanni, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairmen of Somolu and Bariga Local Government Areas to seek sustained collaboration and support towards improving teaching and learning across schools in the District.
During the visit, Mr. Sanni commended the two Local Government Areas for their continuous support and contributions to public schools within their jurisdictions, noting that such partnerships play a vital role in enhancing the quality of education delivery at the grassroots level.


He emphasised the need to strengthen existing collaboration in key areas such as sports development, merit awards for outstanding students and teachers, academic competitions, and other programmes aimed at promoting holistic education and excellence among learners.

Mr. Sanni further stressed that sustained synergy between the State Government and Local Government Authorities remains critical to achieving improved learning outcomes, infrastructural development, and student engagement in public schools.

In their separate responses, the Chairman of Bariga Local Government, Mrs. Bukola Omope-Adedeji, and the Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Mr. Lateef Ashimi, appreciated the courtesy visit and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening involvement in the education sector within their respective councils.
They pledged continued support for initiatives that promote academic excellence, youth development, and improved learning environments in public schools across Education District II.
