RAMADAN: ZAMFARA GOVERNOR ORDERS EARLY PAYMENT OF FEBRUARY SALARIES, PENSIONS

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has approved the immediate release of February salaries and pensions ahead of the upcoming Ramadan, instructing the State Accountant General to disburse the funds without delay.

The announcement was made in a statement on Monday by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mahmud Dantawasa.

According to the statement, “His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, has directed the State Accountant General to immediately release the February salary to all civil servants across the state.”

The statement added that the directive is intended “to enable workers and retirees to make adequate preparations and commence the holy month of Ramadan comfortably.”

The governor urged civil servants, pensioners, and the Muslim community to use the sacred period to pray for the state, calling on them to “pray fervently for lasting peace, unity, and stability in Zamfara State.”

He stressed the importance of continued prayers to address the state’s security challenges and to support “sustained economic growth and development.”

Governor Lawal also reiterated “his administration’s commitment to the welfare of workers and retirees, as well as the overall progress of the state,” assuring that their well-being remains a top priority.

The statement also carried the governor’s goodwill message, wishing “all Muslims in Zamfara State and beyond a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan.”
