In Turkey, Paul Onuachu scored for Trabzonspor, helping his side secure a crucial away win against Gaziantep. Meanwhile, Galatasaray suffered a 0-2 away defeat at Konyaspor, with Victor Osimhen absent from the squad due to persistent knee pain.
Wilfred Ndidi marked his return for Besiktas by scoring the opening goal in their 4-0 home thrashing of Goztepe; he had recently returned to Nigeria to lay his father to rest. Ibrahim Olawoyin also impressed for Rizespor, who beat Kocaelispor at home, though he was substituted in the second half.
