The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) reportedly launched an attack on the ‘Garahamojili’ camp of the Nigerian Army in Adamawa State on Tuesday, killing two soldiers during a 20-minute firefight.
The incident was reported by Sahel security expert Brant Philip on his X account.

According to the report, the insurgents overran the camp, set it on fire, and destroyed three military vehicles. They also allegedly seized weapons and ammunition during the assault.
ISWAP stated that the attack was part of its recently launched “Burn the Camps” offensive.

The post noted that this appears to be the first time the group has targeted a Nigerian Army camp in Adamawa State.
