The trial of former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, before Justice James Omotosho at the Federal High Court in Abuja, was delayed on Monday, February 23, 2026, after the defence failed to present a crucial witness.

During the session, Femi Atteh, SAN, representing Mamman, told the court that the witness could not be subpoenaed as they were unavailable at their office. He requested additional time to ensure the witness’s attendance.

Following this, Justice Omotosho adjourned the case to February 26, 2026, for Mamman to formally open his defence.

Mamman is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a 12-count charge, which includes conspiracy to commit money laundering involving N33.8 billion.
