PLATEAU UNREST: CASUALTIES RISE TO TEN

The number of fatalities from the recent spate of attacks in Plateau State has increased to 10 following the recovery of additional bodies from affected communities in Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas.
Gunmen had reportedly attacked Dorowa Babuje in Barkin Ladi LGA on Sunday night.
Speaking on Monday, Rwang Tengwong, a community leader with the Berom Youth Moulders Association, disclosed that two more bodies of their members were recovered in Dorowa Babuje, while another victim was killed in Jol, located in Riyom LGA.
According to him, the incident occurred around 7:27 p.m. and also left three people seriously injured. He added that the injured victims are currently receiving treatment in hospital.
Attempts to obtain further details from the spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alfred Alabo, were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
