Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe State, has approved a temporary adjustment of official working hours for public servants in observance of the holy month of Ramadan.

The announcement was made in a statement by Alhassan Sule Mamudo, Deputy Director of Information in the Office of the Head of Service. According to the statement, civil servants will work from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays.

Mamudo explained that the revised schedule applies only during the Ramadan fasting period, after which normal working hours will resume immediately.

He noted that the annual adjustment of working hours during Ramadan has become a longstanding practice in the state, aimed at enabling public servants to fully participate in religious activities throughout the month.
