Galatasaray held off a spirited comeback from 10-man Juventus as Victor Osimhen scored in extra time on Wednesday, securing a 7–5 aggregate win and booking the Turkish side’s place in the UEFA Champions League last 16.

With a 5–2 first-leg advantage from Istanbul, Galatasaray entered Turin with a strong position, but Juventus pressed aggressively to overturn the deficit.

A first-half penalty by Manuel Locatelli gave the home side renewed hope at the Allianz Stadium. However, Galatasaray regained control early in the second half when defender Lloyd Kelly was sent off, leaving Juventus with 10 men.

In a dramatic turn, Juventus refused to go quietly. Federico Gatti’s close-range finish, followed by a towering header from Weston McKennie, forced extra time and brought the Italians level on aggregate, setting up a tense conclusion.

As Juventus tired, Galatasaray’s composure proved decisive. Victor Osimhen capitalized on a through ball in extra time, calmly slotting home to regain the visitors’ aggregate lead.

Barış Alper Yılmaz sealed the victory with a late goal, ending Juventus’ hopes and concluding a thrilling two-legged tie.

The win secured Galatasaray’s spot in the Champions League knockout stage, where they will face either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur in the Round of 16, marking a major European achievement for the Istanbul-based club.
