IKOSI-ISHERI MAYORESS DONATES, FURNISHES SECRETARIAT TO DRIVE RENEWED HOPE AGENDA IN KOSOFE

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Greater Kosofe Chapter, have commissioned the Renewed Hope Secretariat for Greater Kosofe during a ceremony held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at CMD Road, Ikosi, Lagos.
The event drew party faithful, community leaders, youth groups, and key political stakeholders, highlighting increasing grassroots mobilisation within Kosofe Local Government Area. The newly inaugurated secretariat is expected to serve as a hub for strategic coordination, civic engagement, and structured political advocacy in line with the Renewed Hope vision.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, duly represented by the Lagos State Chief of Staff, Hon. Tayo Ayinde, in his address, ”Great ideas may be born in moment of vision but they are sustained and brought to life by people who believe in them, commit themselves to the accomplishment. The commissioning of this renewed hope secreteriat is a powerful testament that our local government coordinators and grassroot leaders have embraced the renewed hope vision and ready to carry its message to the doorstep of our people.”
Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, She emphasized the significance of unity, purposeful leadership, and continuous socio-political development, highlighting that the secretariat would serve as a hub for constructive dialogue, empowerment initiatives, and organized political engagement to advance development across Greater Kosofe. As chief host, urged the renewed hope ambassadors to carry out their roles with discipline, integrity, and service-driven leadership. She encouraged them to raise awareness about the organization’s achievements and to act as ambassadors of hope, unity, and progress.
Demonstrating personal commitment, she fully donated and furnished the newly commissioned LCDA Secretariat, creating a central hub for political coordination, community engagement, and effective mobilization.

Under her administration, Ikosi-Isheri LCDA has delivered over 185 projects across key sectors, including:
* Road construction and rehabilitation
* Renovation of schools and community facilities
* Modern market development, such as Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu International Market and Mile 12 Market Phase II
* Development of recreational centres and public parks
* The 104-bed Sen. Oluremi Tinubu Primary Healthcare Centre, the largest PHC in Nigeria, as a legacy project
Her success has been strengthened through partnerships with stakeholders, including Mayor Dele Osinowo (furniture donation), Mr. Damilare Orimoloye (sports and recreational facilities), and Hon. Remi Odunsi (welfare support).
These achievements reflect a collaborative and results-driven governance model focused on sustainable community development in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
The ceremony featured goodwill messages from stakeholders, cultural displays, and a ribbon-cutting session symbolising renewed commitment to service, inclusiveness, and community development. Many attendees described the initiative as timely and strategic, particularly in strengthening grassroots structures and encouraging wider participation in governance.
Organisers reaffirmed their support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aligning the project with the “Beyond 2027” vision centred on continuity, sustainable development, economic growth, and national stability. They added that the Greater Kosofe Secretariat would play a key role in mobilising support and promoting policies consistent with this agenda.
The commissioning reflects growing political engagement in the area and signals a renewed push for community-driven development and forward-looking leadership in Lagos State.
