EVRA SLAMS SCHOLES, NEVILLE, KEANE IN EPL DEBATE, DEFENDS CARRICK

Former Patrice Evra has criticized Manchester United legends Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, and Roy Keane while defending caretaker manager Michael Carrick.
Evra, a former United left-back, condemned their “unnecessary and negative analysis” of Carrick, who has won seven of his first eight games since being appointed interim manager of the Red Devils.
The criticism came after Newcastle United defeated Manchester United at St James’ Park last week, prompting Scholes to take a swipe at Carrick. Neville and Keane had also previously voiced doubts over United appointing Carrick as permanent manager.

Evra expressed his disappointment with the trio for their comments on Carrick. Speaking to Stake, as reported by Metro UK, he said:
“I hope Paul Scholes’ Instagram story is fake. To be honest, I’m not surprised coming from Scholesy.
“I really don’t understand the lack of support for Michael Carrick. He is one of us, and he is performing very well. There has been negative commentary from Scholesy, but also from Roy Keane and Gary Neville.
“It frustrates me because we want to be in the top four, and such comments are unnecessary. But that’s what happens when you work in TV—you can’t be positive, you have to be negative.”
