Hansi Flick, the manager of FC Barcelona, has described the Premier League as the best football league in the world.
Flick made the remark during his pre-match press conference ahead of Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 encounter with Newcastle United on Tuesday night.
He also highlighted the financial strength of the English league, noting that its economic power has a major influence on the modern game.

“The Premier League is the best league in the world,” Flick said.
“It’s incredible because they have a lot of money and can make decisions. We in La Liga are also strong, and we at Barcelona must stick to our philosophy against Newcastle and show it to the world.”
The Champions League clash between Newcastle and Barcelona will kick off at 9 p.m. at St James’ Park.
