KLM SUSPENDS DUBAI FLIGHTS UNTIL MARCH 28 AMID REGIONAL CONFLICT

Dutch airline KLM announced on Wednesday that it had cancelled all flights to Dubai until March 28 over safety concerns linked to the war in the region.
“Due to ongoing unrest in the Middle East, KLM has decided to cancel all flights to Dubai up to and including March 28,” the airline said in a statement.
“The safety of our passengers and crew is always our top priority,” it added.
“We understand that this decision has a significant impact on our travelers and are doing everything possible to keep them well informed.”
The airline said it had also been working with the Dutch foreign ministry to help evacuate its citizens stranded in the region.
On Monday, German airline Lufthansa said it was extending the suspension of its flights to several key airports across the region, including destinations in the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Israel, and Iran.
According to Lufthansa, flights to and from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Dammam in Saudi Arabia, Amman in Jordan, and Erbil in Iraq have been cancelled until March 15.
Flights to and from Beirut in Lebanon were suspended until April 2, while services to Tel Aviv in Israel remain halted.
The airline also announced that flights to Tehran will remain suspended until April 30.
Meanwhile, French airline Air France extended the suspension of its services to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut until March 13.
Flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh have also been suspended until March 12.
