TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED BOKO HARAM INFORMANTS IN BORNO

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested two suspected informants linked to terrorist groups in the Mainok area of Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, disclosed this in a post on X on Saturday, citing security sources.
According to him, the suspects were arrested at about 3:00 a.m. on March 18 following credible intelligence on the movement of suspected informants in the area.

He added that troops of the 156 Task Force Battalion swiftly mobilised to the location after receiving information about suspicious activities around the Mainok area.
Makama further stated that two civilians suspected of acting as informants for Boko Haram were apprehended during the operation.
He also noted that items recovered from the suspects included electrical cables believed to be connected to terrorist logistics and support activities.
According to him, the suspects and recovered items are currently in military custody and will be handed over to the Sector 2 Military Intelligence Brigade for further investigation.
