The President of Women Community in Africa (WCA), Khadijah Abdullahi Iya, has commended the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, for his efforts in tackling economic and financial crimes in Nigeria.
Iya gave the commendation on Wednesday in Abuja during a courtesy visit to the EFCC headquarters, where she led a delegation of the women’s group.
She said the organisation had observed the impact of the commission’s work and expressed readiness to partner with it in the fight against corruption.
“We are seeing the good results of your work and will be ready to collaborate with the Commission in fighting corrupt practices,” she said.

The WCA president also highlighted the organisation’s activities across Africa, including its annual summit and periodic retreats focused on literacy, leadership development, women’s participation in governance, and empowerment.
She assured the EFCC of sustained collaboration in strengthening advocacy against corruption and promoting ethical values.
In his response, Olukoyede praised the role of women groups in societal development, noting that they play a critical part in shaping values and raising responsible citizens.
He expressed the Commission’s willingness to deepen collaboration with WCA and similar organisations in the fight against corruption.
“We will collaborate with women to fight corruption. Women play crucial roles in child development and impartation of values. These roles are imperative, and we will encourage our women to be more forthcoming in this regard,” he said.
The meeting underscored ongoing efforts by the EFCC to engage civil society and community-based organisations in strengthening anti-corruption advocacy across the country.
