SANWO-OLU APPOINTS ADETOLA AS ACTING STATE AUDITOR-GENERAL
The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Dr. Muyiwa John Adetola as the Acting State Auditor-General, with effect from the 14th of February, 2024.
A statement signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro said the appointment is in recognition of Dr. Adetola’s impressive track record as a reputable Auditor and Public Servant.
According to him, “The State Government expects the Acting State Auditor-General to demonstrate a high level of dedication, diligence, and selflessness in the discharge of his duties to justify the confidence and trust reposed in him by Mr. Governor”.
Before his appointment, Dr. Muyiwa John Adetola was the Head of the Directorate of Performance Audit in the Office of the State Auditor-General.
He attended Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye and the Lagos-State University, Ojo where he acquired a Bachelor of Science (B.SC Hons) degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (with a Specialisation in Finance Management) respectively.
Dr. Adetola is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), FCA; Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), FCTI, and International Academy of Forensics (IAF). He is also a Certified Forensic Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
