PSG LEAD ARSENAL, CHELSEA IN RACE TO SIGN OSIMHEN
Paris Saint-Germain are leading the race to sign Victor Osimhen, despite interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, According to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian media outfit claims PSG are ‘getting closer’ to Osimhen’s €130m release clause as they see the Nigeria international as the ideal replacement for Real Madrid-bound Kylian Mbappé.
Osimhen has recently signed a contract extension until 2026, but it includes a €130m clause and Napoli are prepared to part company with the 2022-23 Serie A leading scorer at the end of the season.
Il Corriere dello Sport highlights that PSG and Napoli already completed several deals in the past.
Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani moved to Paris in 2012 and 2013, respectively, for a combined €95m transfer fee.
Also Fabian Ruiz signed for the Ligue 1 giants in 2022 for €23m.
