NPFL: DOGO UNHAPPY WITH KWARA UNITED’S POOR FORM
Kwara United technical adviser, Kabiru Dogo is worried by his team’s struggles at home this season.
The Ilorin club were held to a 0-0 draw by Rivers United in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 23 encounter on Thursday.
Like in their previous home outings, the Harmony Boys totally dominated the game but hit the woodwork four times.
Kwara United have lost once and drawn six times at home in the league this season.
Reflecting on the game against Rivers United, Dogo claimed his side deserved more than a point.
“It’s a game that we really worked and planned to get three points because of the value and what we have achieved on the road so far,” he told reporters after the game.
“Anybody that knows the team will know that we have progressed very well, but we are always finding it difficult to get the desired results at home- that’s football because it’s one of those things.
“We accept it in good faith and Rivers are lucky to escape with a draw.
“I believe the team is improving everyday. What we have achieved outside, we have not achieved it at home but we continue to pray for success on the home ground.”
