JUST IN: SENATE PASSES N98.5 BILLION 2024 SUPPLEMENTARY FCT BUDGET
The N98.5 billion 2024 supplemental budget for the Federal Capital Territory Administration has been approved by the Senate.
Sen. Mohammed Ibrahim, a senator from Yobe South, considered and adopted a report from the Committee on FCT regarding the supplemental budget before Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the passage during today’s plenary.
Sen. Ireti Kingibe submitted a point of order before to the report’s deliberation in order to formally protest her absence from the FCT committee’s operations, of which she is a member.
The Senate President acknowledged her point of order and further recommended her to follow the procedures, voice her grievances, and bring her case before the house through a motion.
The Bill was initially passed by the House of Representatives last week.
