OYUN LEAGUE OF IMAMS, ILORIN EMIR CONGRATULATE OBA JIMOH ADEBOWALE ON CORONATION AS ELERIN

The Oyun League of Imams and Alfas has congratulated Oba Jimoh Adebowale Adesoye Adetona 1 on his coronation as the Elerin of Erin-Ile Kingdom, a first-class Oba in Kwara State.
In a statement jointly signed by Alhaji Abdulfatai A. Imam, Grand Chief Imam of Erin Ile; Chief Imam of Ipee; and Chief Imam of Ijagbo, the league described Oba Adebowale’s ascension to the throne as a testament to his exceptional leadership and dedication to the community.
As the chairman of the Oyun Local Government Traditional Council, Oba Adebowale’s role extends beyond Erin-Ile Kingdom, providing guidance and leadership to traditional rulers across the local government area.
The league prayed for Oba Adebowale’s reign to be marked by peace, prosperity, and unity, and for Allah’s guidance and blessings as he embarks on this noble journey.
Furthermore, a separate statement signed by Alhaji Abdulfatai A. Imam, Grand Chief Imam of Erin Ile, read: “I extend my warmest congratulations to you on receiving the Staff of Office as Elerin of Erin ile, a first-class Oba, from Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State. This prestigious honor is a testament to your leadership and dedication to our community.
“May your reign bring peace, prosperity, and unity to Erin ile. May Allah guide and bless you as you embark on this noble journey”.
Emir rejoices with new Elerin
Similarly, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has congratulated the Elerin on his inauguration.
Mr. Sulu-Gambari, in a congratulatory message issued by his spokesman, Abdulazeez Arowona, described Mr Jimoh’s selection as the choice of Allah, stressing that, “Kings are made and ordained by God.”
On Saturday, October 19, 2024, the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, presented the staff of office to the new Elerin of Erin-Ile in, Oba Adesoye Jimoh.
Oba Adesoye ascended the throne following the passing of Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II (MFR) on 20th May 2023.
“As I present the First Class Staff of Office to Your Royal Highness, I urge you to be magnanimous and work for peace and development of your community and Kwara State as a whole,” Governor Abdulrazaq said in Ilorin at the ceremony that was attended by cabinet members, traditional rulers, and creme de la creme from Erin-Ile.
“I urge you to do to your subjects what great fathers do to their children and deploy unity in diversity to take Erin-Ile Kingdom to the greatest height ever.”
