GROUP VOWS TO LEAD EFFORTS TO UNSEAT TINUBU – PDP

The South-West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party will spearhead initiatives to displace President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, as announced by the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement.
In a statement issued by its South-West coordinator, Abass Olaniyi, on Tuesday, the organization indicated that the PDP in the region was engaged in a mission to liberate the nation from the interests of a privileged few.
The organization asserted that the PDP in the South-West was assembling a credible, united, and principled coalition to accomplish the goal for 2027.
The statement articulated, “The South-West PDP has demonstrated clarity, courage, and dedication to the principles of genuine opposition. ”
“This region will lead the charge to rescue Nigeria’s democracy and defeat President Tinubu in 2027, against the wish and personal interests of a select few.
“The South-West PDP has shown clarity, courage, and commitment to the ideals of true opposition.
“This region will lead the charge to rescue Nigeria’s democracy and defeat President Tinubu in 2027, against the wish and personal interest of a select few.”
The cohort also criticized alleged endeavors by certain factions to manipulate the PDP for their own vested interests.
“The momentum is now shifting towards a value-driven political revival.
“Those attempting to take advantage of the party’s internal difficulties for personal benefit have been unsuccessful.
“Nigerians are seeking something new, something genuine. The PDP must serve as that viable alternative,” the statement continued.
The initiative underscored the necessity for the PDP to revert to its foundational principles.
It specifically advocated for the emergence of party leaders possessing integrity and ideological clarity.
“To overcome Tinubu in 2027, the PDP must provide what the All Progressives Congress lacks. That is integrity; that is principle.
“As the countdown to 2027 commences, the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement is galvanizing support across the South-West and beyond to ensure the PDP becomes a credible, united, and principled force capable of revitalizing Nigeria’s democracy,” the statement concluded.
